What is individual counselling?

Individual counselling, also known as one-on-one therapy or personal counseling, is a therapeutic process where a trained mental health professional, such as a counsellor, psychotherapist, psychologist, or psychiatrist, works with an individual to help them address and cope with a wide range of emotional, psychological, and behavioral issues. The primary focus of individual counselling is to provide personalized support and guidance to help the individual better understand themselves, their thoughts, feelings, and behaviours, and to work towards positive change and personal growth.
